NameJet.com – the new player in the domain backordering game
Posted on October 8th, 2007 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
It seems Enom.com and NetworkSolutions.com have partnered up to launch a new domain name after market called NameJet.com. Previously, SnapNames.com had exclusive access to Netowork Solutions drops, but it seems now we have a new big time player in the backordering game.
In my opinion, whoever has access to Network Solutions names will come out on top in the long run. Network Solutions was the first registrar and has a lot of the generic domain names registered through from way back in the 90s.
NameJet.com is owned by Network Solutions while the domain name is registered at Enom.com. It seems Taryn Naidu, previously of Pool.com who joined eNom.com back in November is heading this new venture. He has huge contacts in the domain name industry and is a highly experienced expert.
NameJet.com officially launched on the 5th of October 2007, that is 2 days ago. They provide a backorder service as well as a domain name market. NameJet.com allows its customers to backorder a domain name and set a price up to which they are willing to go for that domain name. If noone else backorders this domain name, then the customer gets, while if more then one person backorders the name, the name goes into an auction. This is the same pattern as all the other backorder services.
What makes NameJet.com such a big deal is the fact they are getting first bite at the eNom.com, NetworkSolutions.com and BulkRegister.com dropped names. I will talk about this in more details as more news comes through.
