Godaddy .com prices go up by 12%
Posted on October 15th, 2007 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
Godaddy, reputably the worlds largest domain registrar, has increased its .com price to $10.19 ( $0.20 ICANN fee ) for new registrations.
This move comes following Verisign’s decision to increase its wholesale domain name prices from $6.00 to $6.42 from October 14 2007.
Other registrars, including eNom, the second largest registrar by number of registered domain names, only increased their .com prices by around $0.50 so Godaddy is taking a risk with their price hike.
One thing that still makes Godaddy a popular registrar choice for many domainers is the fact that they offer the opportunity to purchase a domain via a coupon code. Personally, I have never purchased a domain name without using a coupon code.
You can find current valid Godaddy coupon codes at my post here.
