Now .us registrations skyrocket at GoDaddy

I blogged here about 1&1 Internet reporting an increase in .us registrations in recent times.

In a new twist, Godaddy.com has issued a press release reporting a rapid rise in .us registrations.

The Go Daddy Group is seeing tremendous growth in .US registrations, the Country Code domain name for the United States. Go Daddy accounted for more than 53% of all .US registrations in August and racked up similar statistics in September and October. In fact, Go Daddy has been the dominant .US registrar for every month of the last two years. “We are thrilled to see .US performing so well,” said The Go Daddy Group, Inc. CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “Go Daddy has put a lot of effort into raising awareness for the extension and the results are quite clear – our customers have been snatching up available .US domain names at an eye popping rate.”

So, you better stock up on your .us registration before all the good ones are gone!
