Moniker to host online gaming and casino domain name auction during casino affiliate convention 2007

Moniker.com announced they are to host an online gaming and casino domain name auction during the Casino Affiliate Convention 2007 that is to be held in Macau, China at the Venetian Resort & Casino on November 28 through December 6, 2007.

    Moniker’s specialized auctions are a great idea, but unfortunately have not been doing so well. It seems that many traditional industries still don’t appreciate the value of good generic domain names and are not willing to bid them up to the levels seen at domainer conferences and auctions.

    The same happened to godaddy’s recent attempt at live auctions – not a good response from the public.

    I think both companies should reflect and look at where they are going wrong. I am sure they are investigating and will try and improve in the future.
