A warning about Network Solutions whois search front running

DomainNameNews.com have published an interesting story today warning of domain frontrunning being performed by Network Solutions.

Experiments with attempts at searching for several domains via NS’s whois interface then waiting a while showed that those same domains ( randomly created keywords that have no chance of being coincidentally searched for by another party ) were registered and held by Network Solutions.

I had previously blogged about ICANN’s investigation into domain name search theft and advised you all to use DomainState’s domain all-in-one tool for all your whois/availability searches.
