SnapNames Live Auction Online Bidding Fee Waived
Posted on January 23rd, 2008 by admin in Domain News | 2 Comments »
Yesterday saw the first day of the SnapNames Live auction at DomainFest Global. To be able to bid, online users were asked to pay a fee of $100 which would go towards any eventual winning bid.
Today, I received a great email from SnapNames.com. As part of their promotion, they have waived the $100 fee, so now all SnapNames.com users have complimentary bidders entrance to the auction and are able to bid via the auction software. If you have already paid the $100 it will be refunded.
New! There is no charge to join the bidding in the final day of the SnapNames Live Auction.
The remaining 200 hundred premium domains in the SnapNames Live Auction Catalog go on the auction block January 23rd — 4:00pm (PST) at DOMAINfest Global. It’s simple to join the bidding online! Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity.

Hello,
Better than waive the $100 for bidders, they should have started the auction before.
Currently auctions start at 4.00 PM PST, this means 1h00 of the night in Europe!
Myself for example I could not bid for that reason and I had a very HUGE budget to spend…
So I will wait TRAFFIC to do my investments!
Francois,
You have to realize that they have to consider their live public too. The SnapNames Live auction is being held at the DomainFest Global event in order to generate interest and to draw in the domainer that visits these events – not to mention the media coverage that goes along with a conference of this size.
It is certainly easier for the rest of us to tune in from the comfort of our bedroom even if it is at 1am in order to get a piece of the action.
I have been watching and would consider watching an event at any time of day or night if it means I get a piece of the action and get a chance of grabbing one of these gems.
