One of the largest Webmaster resource websites online, v7n.com, was listed for sale on February 18th 2008 at Sitepoint.com. John Scott, the owner of v7n.com, has set an asking price of $500,000 – which equates to approximately a year’s earning according to reported monthly revenue.
John Scott, who plies his trade from Tokyo, Japan, says he is overworked and burned out with managing the forum and has decided to pack it in and concentrate on his phylosophy studies.
The website gets around 700,000 uniques monthly and just above 3,000,000 page views in total.
Included in the sale are:
- Forums ( http://www.v7n.com/forums/ ) with almost 40,000 members and 800,000+ posts. Running vBulletin with VBSEO.
- Web Directory ( http://directory.v7n.com/ )
- Affiliate Program ( http://partners.v7n.com/ )
- Host Ratings ( http://hosting.v7n.com/ )
- Scripts Directory ( http://www.v7n.com/scripts/ )
- SEO Blog ( http://blog.v7n.com/ )
- Survey @ V7N ( http://survey.v7n.com/ )
- Graphics Tutorials ( http://www.v7n.com/graphics/ )
- Job Marketplace ( http://www.v7n.com/marketplace/ )
- Tech Blog ( http://tech.v7n.com/ )
- SEO Insight Newsletter ( newsletter.v7n.com )
- Contextual Links ( http://contextual.v7n.com/ )

This is a very reasonably priced listing and I think it will be snapped up by an eager investor.

Don’t know what to think.
The deal looks great the problem is Scott.
He forget to be idiot and by experience he does not offer anything (so I don’t see him selling for 1 year revenue… that makes me smile) and his practices have been in the past of the most horrible.
So I will pass to avoid any risk.
