If you haven’t gotten in on the .ASIA landrush it’s not completely too late yet - you can pre-register domain names via EuroDNS. The landrush is over in 2 days on 11 March 2008 at which time all of us that pre-ordered domain names will find out whether we were successful in our pre-orders or we might have to go into auction for some of these names.

I’m sure quite a few expert domainers have figured out that all they needed to participate in Sunrise 3 to register pretty much any name was to create a company in some .asia jurisdiction with whatever domain word they wanted to register somewhere in the company name. Hence why a lot of generic names have been either assigned or auctioned already (albeit probably with fewer participants than are likely for the landrush phase)
Safe to let this little secret out after 15 January when sunrise applications closed . . .
