Kiwi stops cybersquatting for fear of God
Jeff Twigge, a New Zealand cybersquatter gave up the practice after reading “a passage in 1 Corinthians, chapter 6, from the Bible (King James version). ‘Extortioners’”. Previously he believed he was being a bit of a modern day Robin Hood.
Twigge has since stopped his practice of buying and selling domain names because he feels his actions were letting down the Christian community.
The case that caused him to reconsider his actions was that involving the domain name ozjet.co.nz that the airline OzJet wanted and he tried to sell for $5000 before asking for a terminally ill child and their family be flown to Dreamworld Australia free of charge.
