Danish internet company Balslev Media have reported they have purchased the domain name casino.de for a reported €400,000.

“The value of the domain consists of several things; first of all it’s the perfect brand name — it’s short and it describes exactly what we do. Furthermore, many people will find our Web site even if they don’t know anything about us through direct traffic, which is when people type in a keyword domain name in their browser and find a service provider without searching for it first. Additionally, the high price is based on the popularity of online casino and poker gambling on the Web,” says webmaster Jan Balslev.

The sale is the second highest .de sale after poker.de was sold €695,000 in 2007.

  1. Now a days internet companies are very interested in domains. I am very happy with this sale. online casino and gambling related domains have a good potential resale value. More over it earns quite good bucks all around the year

    Best Regards
