German-speaking sites have chance to win 18,000 Euro

If you own a German speaking website you are in luck. The global domain name registry Affilias in media-cooperation with INTERNET WORLD Business and addresses .INFO domain owners from Germany, Austria and Switzerland is holding a contest for the best German-speaking websites.

From March 17 to May 25 owners of German-speaking .info-websites can apply for the .INFO-Award.

A judges panel will form a shortlist of contenders based on “presentation of content”, “functionality of the website”, “design”, “usability” and “originality” which will be published at the info-award website allowing visitors to vote for their choice.

Prizes for the awards are distributed as follows: 10.000 Euro for the winner, 5.000 Euro for second place, and 3.000 Euro for third place. Winners will be announced by the “INTERNET WORLD Business” online business newspaper in June 2008.
