How To Generate Keywords For Your Adwords Campaign

A little bit offtopic, but I was putting up some adwords campaigns for my domain name ebook today and I used a really cool tool from Google for the first time.

You know how when you create a keyword campaign it takes ages for you to try and figure out all the keywords you need to put into that campaign? I am not an expert on Adwords as I have used them sparingly before so this is new to me at least. I usually try and think up some keywords for my campaigns and do a bit of research of what competitors are using… but I always thought it wasn’t very productive and never ended up with enough keywords.

In addition, sometimes my keywords were not very relevant to the site content and it ended up hurting CPC ( making it higher then what I wanted it to be ) .

Today I used the Keyword Tool from the Tools menu on my adwords management page and I was pretty impressed.

You provide your website uri and the tool grabs a whole bunch of keywords that you can immediately add to your keyword campaign. I added some 200+ from just running the above query. And most importantly, the keywords are relevant to your content so your CPC should be relatively low!
