Domain privacy coupons with Godaddy

I like to get domain privacy with all the domain names I buy. We all know that currently if you buy 5 and more domain names with Godaddy you get free domain privacy, but what if you are buying less then 5 domain names?
If you try and buy 4 domain names and purchase domain privacy for each it will cost you quite a bit. Even if you use the Godaddy domain coupon OYH3 to get .com domains for $6.95 you still have to pay $8.95 for each domain privacy. If you do the sums, buying 4 .com domains and 4 domain privacies will cost you in the region of $63.60!
( The coupon code OYH comes from here )
That is a lot of money, and $35.80 of that $63,60 are fees for domain privacy.
Now, I have figured out a way to get the domain privacy at a fraction of the cost. Today I bought 4 .com domain names for $27.80 and paid only $1.00 in total for domain privacy for all 4 domain names.
How did I do it?
Simple. Godaddy is running a promotion for .info domains where each .info domain cost only $0.99, so I simply bought 1 .info domain for $0.99 which pushed me to the 5 domain mark where the domain privacy becomes free!

Nice lol. I didn’t know about that one.
Do they give free privacy on renewals of 5 domain names?
I believe they do but you’d have to give it a try and see.
Perhaps I’ll try to check it out then.
I’ve always wanted to just give them a call and try and get them to manually give me a good deal for buying mass privacy along with domain renewals and setting them to the same expiration date.
theoretically this is good for domains you would hold for under one year.
but assuming you want to keep these domains long term, consider what happens when it is time to renew.
