Yes, its true there really is an organization for Webmasters.

My name is Bill Cullifer and I am the founder and executive director of the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) and we've been around for 11 years.

WOW's supports community, education and certification for Web professionals worldwide. In fact, I am in Beijing this week at the WWW International Web conference delivering WOW education and certification.

Here's my actually quote for GoDaddy. Although I am ok with the other one I didn't write it. :--)

"We think it's great that organizations such as GoDaddy.com are recognizing Webmasters for the true professionals that they are," said Bill Cullifer, Executive Director, World Organization of Webmasters.

"Webmasters serve their customers with a broad skillset, including strong technical, design, business and project management skills, and
they play a pivotal role in any organization’s structure today."
