Top 10 most expensive domains ever

Pizza.com made the headlines recently when it was brokered by Sedo for $2.6 million. Surprisingly this domain does not even make it in the top ten most expensive domain names ever - names whose sales figures were actually made public of course.

8. Wine.com, $3.3 million
9. Creditcheck.com, $3 million
10. Vodka.com, $3 million

Check out number 6 ( Asseenontv.com ) - it somehow doesn’t fit the list but hey a sale is a sale :).

Interesting - I wrote a similar blog post a while back (at http://inside.123-reg.co.uk/archives/whats-your-domain-name-worth/) and there are some discrepancies between what we found. I suspect lots of sale amounts are rumours or undisclosed - so I wonder which of our lists is most accurate?
