Death - are you prepared?

Death is a topic most of us avoid - the usual thoughts are “I am still young, I still have a long way to go”. The thing is though, even with a will, an insurance policy or whatever else, you domains will drop if not renewed.

Are you prepared? Do your loved ones have all your account passwords? Do they know what to do with your parked domains? Are they aware of domain expiration and the need to renew domain names?

I have to admit that when I look at the various expired domain auctions at NameJet, TDNAM or wherever else I have on occasions thought to myself “wow, noone in their right mind would let this domain expire - something must have happened to them”.

I read this post over at Sahar Sarid’s blog and it really got me thinking. Domains are our primary assets - whether we are parking them or we have a website in place. We really have to prepare our loved ones for every situation including the scenario where we are no longer there.
