Ebay makes Paypal mandatory
Posted on April 21st, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
I read some interesting news for Ebay users the other day. If you are Australian you will find that Direct deposits, personal cheques and money orders will no longer be payment options from June 17 on Ebay.
This is the first time these restrictions will be imposed by eBay anywhere in the world and could be enforced in other markets in the future.
Buyers will have to pay for items via PayPal, cash-on-delivery or Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards but these transactions would be processed by PayPal as well.
I guess Ebay/Paypal are trying to do some monopolization here
. I wonder if it will backfire.
