Hacked Barack Obama’s website redirects to HillaryClinton.com
Posted on April 22nd, 2008 by admin in Domain News | 1 Comment »
A cross scripting security vulnerability on BarackObama.com community blogs has been exploited to redirect visitors to HillaryClinton.com.
Visitors who viewed the Community Blogs section at Obama’s site were instead presented with Clinton’s website as a result of the vulnerability.
A YouTube video by zennie62 demonstrates the vulnerability.
A xssed.com (cross scripting attacks information website) user named Mox, from Liverpool, IL, posted an apparent confession in the Community Blogs section on the Barack Obama website. The post was titled “I am the one who “hacked” Obamas site.”
The vulnerability has since been fixed but the xssed website indicates there are more vulnerabilities on the site that could still be exploited.
