Just to clarify, I was simply making the point that new domainers need to be better educated about "expired domain names".

Are they useless? Well, that depends on what you want them for. As John correctly pointed out, you make your own opinions on their quality.

He makes some ok points but I do not agree with him that expired domains are useless.

Yes, you can lose money if you blow your dough on stupid names. But that is not just expired domains, that is domains in general. You can buy useless domains whether expired or just available and waste literally thousands of dollars.

Also, yes, you can get your premium domain names from backordering companies - but not everyone can afford that and lots of people are looking for domain names to start new websites.

Not to mention that statistically, even backordering companies and domainers can let domain names slip through their fingers - it happens on a regular basis as there are just so many domain names expiring.

Here are just some domains that were picked up by people from my expired domain newsletters:

FlirtSkills.com
Imagator.com
LovelyAsia.com
Informatician.net
SeoTextLinks.com
CustomVps.com
TradingShark.com
Slimout.com
BeerAndSpirits.com
FootballNewsroom.com

Just to name a few...
