America.com goes on auction

Recently I blogged about America.com going on auction.

Well, the time for auction has come with the mother of all Geo domains being auctioned off on sedo right now. The auction started yesterday and will end on the 29 May 2008.

The Botson Globe is even predicting this domain sale could top the 12 million dollars recorded for the sale of Sex.com.

Incidentally Sedo are launching a new certification program this week probably to quell the rebellion their previous buyer no shows have been causing amongst sedo domain sellers.
