More than 1000 .ca domain names to be auctioned off in major .ca auction
Posted on May 27th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
MyID.ca, a CIRA certified .ca domain registrar, is holding a series of online auctions dedicated exclusively to the sale of more than 1000 attractive preregistered .ca domain names.
Demand for .ca domains is very strong but with more than 1 million already registered, the availability of great names is non-existent as most were acquired many years ago by domain investors.
In recognition of this fact, MyID.ca has teamed up with many large domain portfolio owners and will be regularly holding online auctions for .ca domains. More than 1000 high quality names will be auctioned over the next few months offering a great opportunity to acquire high quality domains for the lowest price possible.
The combination of spiking demand for appealing .ca domains and lack of supply translates into rapid appreciation. Quality domains are accordingly very solid investments with an average resale value increasing significantly year after year. This trend will undoubtedly continue in the near future with even more demand and still no supply. It is thus a fact that the more one waits to acquire a domain they need, the far more they will end up paying for it. It is also a fact that the earlier one buys a domain for investment purposes, the much higher the potential return on investment will be.
The first auction concludes on Friday May 30, 2008 at 1:00 pm EDT. Around 80 domains are being currently auctioned and include fabulous gems such as CV.ca, Diploma.ca, Fling.ca, Income.ca, Pharmacies.ca, FloorTiles.ca, and Eyeglasses.ca.
The MyID.ca DOT CA domain name auction can be accessed here.
