Israel.com Has Not Sold
Posted on June 3rd, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
There have been a number of erroneous reports in the last couple of days about the sale of Israel.com for $5,8 million. It appears the reports were started by Haaretz who reported the “sale” upon seeing the reserve price for the domain name at Moniker’s auction and falsely assuming that this was a winning bid for the domain name.
Israel.com was one of the top priced domains at Moniker’s live auction in Orlando two weeks ago. There was talk that there was a buyer for the domain name before the auction but the sale fell through as the seller stipulated that the buyer had to be pro-israel.
In any case, the domain name has NOT sold. Thanks to DomainNameWire for the investigative work.
