Pizza.com finally changes hands!

Two months ago, on 5th of April to be precise, I posted about the sale of Pizza.com via Sedo’s GreatDomains auction for a whopping $2.6 million.

Interestingly, the money didn’t come through as the sale fell through as many folks at DNForum.com predicted.

Finally, yesterday Ron Jackson reported in his daily lowdown that another buyer has come through with a slightly lower price to purchase the domain name. According to the domain’s whois, the new owners are “Philadelphia’s National A-1″. Apparently the new purchase price is subject to a non disclosure agreement so there is very little chance we can find out what it was. Sedo confirmed to DNJournal that they will not release details either.

The seller of Pizza.com, Chris Clark of North Potomac, Maryland, indicated to DomainNameWire that a deal has been done, but failed to reveal the sum.

Sucks that the original bidder didn’t come through with the winning amount, but I sure am happy for Chris for selling his domain and getting his payday. Well done Chris.

Thats unfortunate that the initial deal fell through for Chris but either way its still a win in his books. Pretty sure the second deal is still worth more then any amount of money he spent holding that domain.
