Ron Jackson of DNJournal.com has released his regular weekly domain sales report.
Ringtones.org and Revolution.org commanded a $120,000 apiece this week. Ringtones.org was sold in Moniker’s live auction at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. East in May and just closed this past week. Revolution.org changed hands at Sedo.com.
Sedo also placed a pair of French ccTLDs in the first five, selling #3 Voitures.fr (“cars” in French) for €50,000 ($78,935) and #5 Annonces.fr (“advertisements” in French) for €30,000 ($47,361). Still another country code domain, Taxi.us (America’s ccTLD) cracked the top ten with a $35,000 sale at Sedo.
Sedo put four more ccTLDs on the second half of the all extension leader board as the county codes enjoyed a huge week. #14 2in1.at (Austrian ccTLD) drew €15,000 ($23,681), #15 SS.tv tuned in $21,500, #18 Kinderwagens.nl (Dutch country code), which means “baby carriages” in Dutch, delivered €10,000 ($15,945) and #20 Bingo.us banked $15,000.
.Com was limited to 11 of the 20 positions this week. Four of those went to the AfternicDLS including #7 Kudo.com at $40,000. Moniker closed three .com sales from their DomainerMeeting live auction in Paris last month, including #6 Rainbows.com at $45,000.
