PollEverywhere.com – Live Audience Polling With A Twist
Posted on August 18th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | 1 Comment »
I ran across this rightly named PollEverywhere.com website while reading TechCrunch today and I have to say I was more then impressed.
PollEverywhere.com provides live audience polling with a twist – the audience participates in polls via SMS and live results are displayed via Powerpoint or your browser.
If you ever attended seminars or lectures with a large audience you will know what a pain it is to try and get any sort of feedback from the audience – I am sure organizers of such events feel the pain the most if they have to fork out the cash for devices that allow user interaction …
Well, this is all a thing of the past as PollEverywhere completely simplifies this problem and makes it a non-issue. Organizers of an event simply pick a plan at PollEverywhere and get a set of SMS numbers for their votes to be cast to and that’s it. When their event starts it’s just a matter of telling their audience what numbers to SMS and they can start voting.
I love it when technology provides us with innovative solutions to everyday problems – don’t you? A good choice of domain name too!

Thanks for the short review. You seem to be an authority on what makes a domain good or bad. We chose that domain in part because of common words but also because the 2 words together are relatively unique to us. I’m curious what your opinion is on what makes polleverywhere.com a good domain name versus a not-so-good domain name?
