Your Favourite Domaining Forum?

There are very few candidates for my favourite domaining forum, but I think it comes down to two:
DNForum.com and NamePros.com. DNForum is a must because all the hot shots visit it – joint venture wise and big sale wise they are #1, while NamePros is #1 community wise and in terms of general sales.

DomainState.com is as popular and older then the above two, but just something about it – perhaps the outdated design – does not make it a favourite of mine.

We here at DNXpert.com are also proud to be home to a domain name forum of our own.

Although DigitalPoint has a domaining forum, they just don’t cut it for me because of the number of lowballers and scammers – and admin’s reluctance to control or take any responsibility in this matter.

Other forums including DiscussNames.com, Forum.DomainTools.com and Indian Forums are still to reach the level of popularity of the top 3, while IDNForums are good if you are into IDNs.

What about you? What is your favourite domaining forum?

I had really liked DNF.com but the Mod’s heads get so BIG over their they pushed me away. I got an infraction for posting a screen shot, which they considered it as promoting my site… Give me a break. The picture had to be hosted somewhere!

Plus DNF closes threads and doesn’t seem to “help” the community. Maybe they should Move the thread instead of Closing it. Hint, Hint.

I would have to say NamePros.com . Great Mods at NP’s. They HELP the community and move threads if needed. A little less “action” at Np’s but if you weed out all the domains for sale on DNF, I think NP’s is a better, more information site!

DNF and NP have got to be the domainers fav watering holes, although I love venturenames.com but I think they have changed the forum format a bit just recently, it used to be a lot bigger. Great site though and most facilities are free. Haven’t tried domainstate because it looks archaic and there aren’t many recent posts there..

I prefer DP because it has more categories of interest, and not just domain names…

  4. Thanks for the great list! I’ve been growing tired of DPF and wanted some new domainer forums…beauty!
