Posted on September 5th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
With it’s aim to become a more multilingual organization ICANN has spent the last year developing and implementing a translation programme. Now that is in place, they require someone with sufficient expertise and experience to be able to oversee that programme as ICANN moves to make translation a part of its everyday processes and systems.
It’s not a domaining job, but it is at ICANN. If you are a translation expert with international experience you may be in with a chance to be one of the people on the “other side” of the fence.
The position is advertised as a “Translation Coordinator” with a proposed 40 hours/week contract. Requirements include professionalism, performance management, communication, teamwork and computer skills while the qualifications required are an advanced degree in Translation, Social Sciences, Finance, Business Administration, Management or a related field with a Bachelor’s degree with a relevant combination of academic and professional qualifications.
Further detail can be obtained at the ICANN blog.
