It’s very hard to take in the collapse of such a huge number of financial institutions in the past year, and in the past few days especially. The New York Times sports an interactive graphic up on its site that pretty much describes the situation in detail. According to the graphic $4 trillion has been wiped off the total market capitalization of the U.S. stock market since October 2007.
The graphic shows boxes proportional to the size of the market capitalization of the biggest financial firms in October 2008 and now. As you hover over the boxes with your mouse you can see the losses experienced by each company between then and present day.
With such heavy losses experienced by the financial sector, the domaining market is bound to feel the purse tightening – minimalistically speaking – the domaining market will experience a drop of prices in the next few months.
So, I ask myself… are the coming days ripe for some smart domain name investments? Are you going to be buying?
