Google Tests User-Defined Blurb Length In Search Results
Posted on September 29th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »

According tothis thread on WebmasterWorld, Google was testing a blurb length feature allowing users to choose between three options: no blurb, 161 character blurb and 638 character blurb.
Google tends to do this by testing new features on a select group of users to see whether a feature would be accepted before they unleash it on the population at large.
