President Elect Barack Obama Continues To Show His Tech-Savviness

Following his victory in the US presidential elections, president-elect Barack Obama and his team have taken only 24 hours to continue with their tech-savvy, web-aware ways - they have acquired Change.gov to further promote user involvement and transparency.

The site is obviously still fresh and is currently asking visitors to share their election stories as a prelude to election night:

The story of this campaign is your story. It is about the great things we can do when we come together around a common purpose.

We want to hear your inspiring stories from the campaign and Election Day

It is interesting to see a blog section and the general sense of visitor involvement on the website - perhaps a sign that social media will continue to play an important role for the new administration which can only be good for transparency.

From the beginning of the campaign president-elect Barack Obama has adopted the internet as an effective marketing tool whether for contributions or for rallying support.

Coming from a fairly younger generation it is no wonder he is willing to adopt new technologies.

Indeed, while the republicans were concentrating on the same old war rhetoric Obama was pressing the right buttons. Good for him.
