Enom Has Launched AcquireThisName.com?

Following Tucows.com’s launch of the aptly named YummyNames.com, have eNom launched it’s own domain sales portal to help sell of it’s vast domain portfolio? According to TheDomains, they have.

AcquireThisName.com was recently launched and even though eNom are not taking direct credit for the newly launched site, AcquireThisName.com does state in their FAQs that payments for their domain names are to be done through their “affiliate” eNom.

Q: What are the payment options available to me?
A: Our preferred method of payment is by wire to our affiliate, eNom. It is the easiest and most cost effective method.

Further on, they explain their relationship with eNom and how it can benefit the buyer:

Our reseller relationship with eNom helps make purchasing a domain from Acquire This Name a quick and easy process. After you and your ATN sales account manager agree on a purchase price, you will receive an email with wire instructions and a link to submit our online agreement. The online agreement confirms your interest in the domain and removes it from the open marketplace.

This is the second large portfolio owner in recent times that is moving towards selling off at least a part of their vast domaining portfolio. Is that a sign of things to come?
