A kid called Eric Calisto is trying to bully Google into using a logo he created as the Google logo on December 2, Eric’s birthday.
According to his website:
My Birthday Is December 2.
I want one thing, but I need your help!
My design of the Google Logo on the Google homepage for one day!
Power Comes In Numbers! Email&Call to tell them you want it on the site and we will see how many people it takes to persuade one of the biggest companies in the world!Call 1.650.930.3555 and leave a message! Also email press@google.com saying, “Please make a birthday wish come true. set the Google homepage logo to the one on ericcalisto.com on December 2, 2008!”
This is the logo he is talking about:

If someone at google reads this you never know.
There are the type of company that would use this for good pr and what they got to lose for putting this up for one day?
I think they shall grant his wish.

Robbie
True Robbie, the only problem with these things is that I am sure they don’t want to set a precedent… because if they let this one happen, what will be next?
Hopefully he gets his wish. It would be funny to see a logo designed in ms paint appear on google!
I agree with the admin. If they allow this one to go through where will they step?

The idea is nice, I dont think he will get it period. I think Google will send him an email back but not put his logo on, because they do not want 100 billion more emails about people wanting their logo on the Google.
The Idea is nice, but in reality the idea is faint. I love the ids ambition to go get them but maybe he should start off smaller.
Try Cuil.com maybe they will do it for Publicity.
More free publicity for Google. I think not. They are too much like Microsoft now.
We need to support Yahoo before there is only one real company for search left.
