Tacos Anyone? Time To Develop Your Premiums

Posted on December 10th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | 2 Comments »

Companies are firing tech workers across the US as a result of the world financial crisis with job losses in the technology sector reaching the 100,000 mark according to TechCrunch.

Some startups with money to burn are reaping the rewards of the sudden influx of available and talented tech employees in the job market and are snapping up the best ones on the cheap. Video chat startup TokBox have taken a comedic approach to hiring new employees from the aftermath of Yahoo firing 1,500 employees recently – they will be parking a taco truck outside of Yahoo headquarters today handing out free tacos and job applications.

Distasteful or smart? Thoughts? I wouldn’t mind a taco right now :) .

Seriously though, with so much talent available and looking for work right now, it’s a great time to think about developing your premium domain names if you have the startup cash to afford hiring a couple of quality programmers. You could probably get them on the cheap too.

Handing out tacos huh? That’s awesome. I love tacos. I think that’s an awesome idea. Kudos to those guys!
