Squatters Make 35K On Bush Library Domain
Posted on December 12th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
An interesting expired domain snatching “success” story made the Dallas news and Techcrunch today – someone snatched up GeorgeWBushLibrary.com as it expired and sold it back to the previous owner – Yuma Solutions – for $35,000.
Yuma Solutions – the company that developed the website for the George W. Bush Library Foundation – accidentally let the domain name expire and had to deal with the consequences. It originally bought the domain in 2007 from another squatter for $3,000.
The name of the squatter who made the 35k profit is Illuminati Karate – a Web design firm in Raleigh, North Carolina.
