GoDaddy To Sponsor RotoHog Facebook Game
Posted on December 27th, 2008 by admin in Domain News | No Comments »
RotoHog.com, a fantasy sports operator and developer for major brands, has convinced GoDaddy.com to sponsor a new Pro Football Playoff Fantasy Football Game on Facebook.
With the aid of the added exposure from the sponsorships, RotoHog hopes to boost its contestant signup rate.
“This sponsorship from Go Daddy is the perfect example of how two brands can work together to gain market share in a cost-effective and cohesive manner,” said RotoHog.com CEO Kelly Perdew.
Godaddy.com has also signed on for this deal most probably with their upcoming SuperBowl ad campaign in mind.
“Our Super Bowl strategy is really pretty simple – attract people to visit GoDaddy.com,” said Go Daddy EVP Barb Rechterman. “From there we learn more about how we can help them get online easily and affordably, or improve their existing online presence.”
“This sponsorship exposes Go Daddy to both RotoHog and Facebook communities,” Rechterman added. “These are clearly avid Web users interested in football, watching the Super Bowl and having fun online.”
The GoDaddy.com Pro Football Playoff Challenge on Facebook allows users to create a team and pick from any player in the playoffs, but they can only use a player once. Each player on their roster scores fantasy points, and the top three highest-scoring teams at the end will win prizes including a 42″ LG HD Plasma TV, Marshall Faulk signed memorabilia, or a RotoHog Fan Shop gift certificate.
The Godaddy Pro Football Playoff Challenge Facebook app can be found here.
