Netfleet.com.au – Australia’s leading marketplace – have contacted us to announce that they have joined Australia’s leading domain name provider Netregistry.com.au in a mutually beneficial joint venture.

“We see significant growth in this area”, says Larry Bloch, CEO of Netregistry. “Currently our efforts are focused on education as much as anything – most people do not even realise that domain names are now tradeable assets so it’s a question of creating the industry as well as satisfying the demand.”

This is the first real push by a major IT company into this sector in Australia. Netfleet hopes to bring together their existing proprietary technology with the massive customer base of the Netregistry group, which they hope will cement Netfleet as the leading destination for domain name trading down under.

By capitalising on Netregistry’s customer base of over 250,000 businesses Netfleet hopes to bring in thousands of new domain listings. By joining forces, the two companies hope to emulate and improve upon the successes of overseas trading platforms such as Sedo.com, albeit with smaller numbers.
