Barack Obama – A Domaining Messiah?
Posted on January 26th, 2009 by admin in Domain News | 3 Comments »
SEO Expert and author of the SEO Book and course Aaron Wall has praised newly inaugurated US president Barack Obama for his choice of domain names in recent times awarding him a 2009 domainer of the year award in a post on his blog.
Wall points out that Mr Obama smartly chose the domain name Change.gov to reflect his intentions prior to him being sworn in – change is a strong yet loosely defined concept that is perfect for the purpose it was chosen for.
Before Obama was sworn in, he launched Change.gov under The Office of The President-elect. Change is an easy concept to grasp after 8 years of crony capitalism and fraudulent wars built on lies from international war criminals. But “change” in and of itself is a tool, not a destination…where is it going?
Additionally, Wall points out that Mr Obama plans to show progress of expenditure of moneys allocated for improving the situation the US finds itself in in these trying times on Recovery.gov – another domain well chosen to suit it’s purpose.
Finally, Wall points out that Barack Obama may have heralded another prosperous time for domain name owners and investors in the coming months and years
I thought it would be at least a decade before the United States government started domaining. Many large corporations are sure to catch on soon, increasing domain prices and closing off a great investment opportunity for smaller players.
Is Aaron Wall right? Has President Barack Obama ushered in a new era of domain awareness into 2009 and beyond?

Why bring politics into the industry? Obama getting a DNer of the year for picking a domain about change? That’s ridiculous… I will no longer use his website if he honestly gets enamored that easy.
If anyone have this many people around him it’s easy to take a domain like that.
One thing is certain. Obama is the most modern and tech-savvy US president so far!
