Elephant Traffic – Harnessing Direct Navigation For Advertising

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin in Domain News | 1 Comment »

Elephant Traffic officially launched today as an online service for direct navigation advertising – a new phenomenon in online advertising.

Elephant Traffic allows advertisers to select direct navigation domain names they want to get traffic from, as opposed to conventional pay per click advertising that lets clients get traffic based on search terms.

The process works as follows: an advertiser selects direct navigation domains with terms they want to get traffic from – for example laptops.com – and purchases per visitor traffic using a web-based interface. Once the traffic is purchased, consumers using direct navigation (on for example laptop.com) are automatically redirected to the said advertisers’ website for the number of visitors they purchased.

Elephant Traffic boasts a vast array of domain names in its arsenal and is always on the lookout for domainers wishing to find an alternative monetization methods for their high traffic generic domain names. Domainers wishing to submit their domain names can go here.

Wei-Hai Chu, Elephant Traffic’s CEO, explains,

“One of the most surprising things about internet use is that 14% of online searches are done by using direct navigation. Elephant Traffic gives advertisers the ability to capture this highly targeted traffic quickly and easily using a streamlined interface.”

Discussing the direct benefits for advertisers, Commercial Director Daniel Goris says,

“What’s so exciting about Elephant Traffic is that we are able to give advertisers direct access to consumers who are twice as likely to complete an online purchase. Direct navigation search traffic has been neglected till now but our research has shown that it delivers up to 50% higher conversions rates than standard PPC advertising. What we have put together offers advertisers a great tool to diversify their online budgets and boost conversion rates.”

This company does not seem legit. All their domain examples run through Sendori, not elephant traffic , yet they claim they are independent. Sounds like a scam.

Something is very fishy with these guys.
