Wine.com – A Properly Developed Domain Name
Posted on September 28th, 2009 by admin in Domain Development | No Comments »
I was reading TechCrunch as I usually do for my daily tech fix when I ran into their article featuring Wine.com – the online wine retailer – or more precisely featuring their newly released API allowing third-parties to create and enhance wine apps using Wine.com’s e-commerce and wine database platform.
The folks at Wine.com have combined a category killer domain name with a great development project. If you visit Wine.com you will find a great looking website that includes a shopping cart, an affiliate program so that others can help promote Wine.com and benefit from the promotion, lots of useful info and now, an API.
The API is the icing on the cake that completes the development of this great domain name. All I can say is “well done” to the owners of the domain name and “way to go” for showing category killer domain owners what a developed domain name is supposed to look like.
