Now dotMobi Makes 1 And 2 Character Domains Available
Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in Domain News | 1 Comment »
Following in the footsteps of .BIZ and .DE who recently made their 1 and 2 character domain names available to the public via registration or auctions, dotMobi have announced they too are following suit.
In a press release on the dotMobi website, the company has announced they will “make sought-after domains, consisting of one and two characters, available to brands for high-quality mobile Web sites.”
Rather then simply selling and making a profit from the names, dotMobi have taken a different route – making the names available to strong brands with interesting mobile content concepts.
“One and two character domains are the most valuable – and often most expensive – domains when available” said Trey Harvin, CEO of dotMobi. “Rather than selling these names, dotMobi is looking to provide these names to strong brands with high-quality mobile content. These short domains are highly memorable ways to reach mobile customers who are using the mobile Web in 2009 as never before. They also allow these companies to utilize dotMobi’s tools, resources, and marketing reach.”
Interested companies may submit expressions of interest for a one or two character .mobi domain by visiting http://dotmobi.mobi/onechar.
