Sedo Makes Some Nice .DE Sales

It appears German health insurance firm A1 Krankenversicherung (A1 health insurance) has purchased the domain name 1a-krankenversicherung.de via SEDO for a reported 11,900 EURO.

The whois info for the domain name changed today to Frank Geldschlaeger of Rostock, Germany – whois data that now matches the whois data of the company’s current/established website domain name 1a-krankenversicherung.org.

Luckily, Mr Geldschlaeger also owns 1a-krankenversicherung.com and 1akrankenversicherung.com so he won’t have to go after those, but I wonder why he didn’t go the WIPO way (or .DE extensions equivalent service way) to get the .DE name considering he had an established company under 1a-krankenversicherung.org.

In any case, an interesting domain choice overall.

Other notable .DE sales on SEDO this week include sh.DE for 8,000 EURO and artenia.DE for 2,000 EURO.
