Want To Own Sedo.ORG?

A thread on namepros has alerted me to the pending-delete status of the domain name sedo.org – I probably would have spotted the name myself in my daily perusal of lists but still, it never hurts to be handed something on a plate.

Would you believe that there are currently some 72 bidders on this pending delete auction – a figure that is more than likely to rise?

No idea why folks are bidding – well, I have an idea, they hope to earn a quick buck – but I don’t like it.

A quick search on the USPTO website yielded two live marks for the word “sedo”, mark 1 and mark 2.

Mark 1 above was filed as recently as November 9, 2009 – but regardless of the above two marks, what case can one present as a reason to use sedo.org following an eventual purchase of said domain name when faced with the unavoidable WIPO/UDRP case?

“Oh, oh, I am using sedo.org for my new organization – the Senile Erroneous Domainer Organization…”

None.
