Dropping.ca Offers Backordering Services For .ca Domains
Posted on December 4th, 2009 by admin in Buying & Selling, Domain News | No Comments »
Following a 30 day pending delete period, an expired .ca (Canadian TLD) domain name is placed in the To Be Released (TBR) queue by the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA). This list is released for registration every Wednesday, from 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. Ottawa time.
In order to have the best chance to grab a bargain expiring domain name, Canadians can now employ the services of their very own drop catching service.
Dropping.ca was recently launched by Behrendt Corporation, an Ontario based firm in a technology partnership with domain veterans Hubbard Media who operate the .uk drop catching service DropSystem.co.uk.
Dropping.ca charges a $60 Canadian (+GST) fee for a caught domain and operates on a “no win, no fee” principle.
If more than one person places a backorder for the same domain name the domain goes to auction. Given the site was only recently launched, Dropping.ca point out that their auctions are not as fiercely contended as those conducted by more established services.
If you have any questions or comments about their service, you can use their contact form to contact them.
