An Amazing Story – The Boy Who Sees Without Eyes!

I watched an awe inspiring video today that still has me in goosebumps. It is a documentary about a boy (Ben Underwood) who has taught himself to use echo location to navigate around the world.

Ben Underwood is blind, but has managed to do some truly extraordinary things like playing basketball, riding a bicycle and navigating in general without a guide dog using echo location by making clicking sounds with his mouth.

He is the only known human being on earth who uses echo location to see and navigate.

Ben Underwood, you are my hero.

This was a great story of empowerment! I’ve passed it along to several of my friends and family and they felt the same way. This kid was a real “super hero” with his own self-empowered abilities. It was heartbreaking to find out he passed away this year. He had an ability that could have helped so many people.

On a side note. This “joker” Acro over at domaingang.com completely disparaged this kid in order to make fun … of you? Because it wasn’t domain related? It made no sense, not even from a humorous point of view, and I called him out on it. What does Acro do? He throws a tantrum and bars my IP address.

This is how Acro handles individuals who descent against his point of view or what he calls humor: put up some tough guy response and prevent those from being able to answer.

Theo Develegas “Acro” is the antithesis of comprehension.

Wow I was so amazed by the story I failed to pick up that the boy passed away from the video :( .

That is so sad. My condolences to his family.

As for Acro, as I said in a comment on his post, to each his own.

    John
