North Carolina based Abdu Tarabichi has launched a non-profit project called the Domain Name Knowledge Base (DNKB) at DNKB.org. The goal of the site is to provide easily accessible answers to common domaining questions in a Wikipedia-like format.
Tarabichi said to DNJournal:
“The project started as a result of the lack of centralized information about the domain name industry. People needed basic information on how to get started and wanted to know how it all worked. I could see how important it was to educate people in this emerging industry so they could be successful, make smart choices and be part of it.”
Tarabichi added
“With virtually every business having a web presence in today’s global economy, DNKB gives knowledge to the average business person trying to navigate the purchase and management of a domain. It helps beginners understand what domain names are and how they can register, host and manage them efficiently.”
If you are looking for information or if you are looking to contribute articles to the Domain Name Knowledge Base, go to DNKB.org.
