Spam sucks. I know it, you know it. We all do. It’s bad for business, and being associated with spam in any way can hurt your business too.
We tend to associate weird urls with spam – mainly because weird urls usually take us to weird content that can screw with our PC – viruses, trojans etc. So, people tend to avoid spammy urls like the plague.
I just ran into a service that turns your clean-cut, would-take-home-to-meet-mom url into a dangerous-looking spammy-sounding virus link.
Not sure what the use of the service is – apart from scaring people – but heck, it’s fun.
