A Template For BuddyPress Settings – Settings.php?
Posted on June 9th, 2010 by admin in Domain Development, Domain News | No Comments »
If you find yourself creating a BuddyPress theme for BuddyPress 1.2.4 or earlier version, you might be surprised to find that bp-core-settings.php has not been ported as a separate theme file in the default bp-default theme so there is no obvious way to style the settings screen.
According to Paul Gibbs of BuddyPress.org,
Settings template is hardcoded at the moment (yes, we know). That file is a remnant from an earlier version of BuddyPress that was meant to make it easier to create one-screen plugins.
So, how do you go about adjusting this part of BuddyPress to fit in with the rest of your theme?
It’s actually pretty simple, all you need to do is style the plugins.php file within members/single of your theme directory. The bp-core-settings.php output is actually nested withing plugins.php.
