$0.99 .com Domain at GoDaddy.com
Hey everyone,
I thought you might like this. Next time you are in the market for a .com domain register it at GoDaddy and type in the code below to get the .com for only $0.99.
Here is the code:
TEST99
Limited to one domain per account.
Enjoy,
Travis

Wow that is amazing!! One question though, do you expert domainers have more than one account? is it even possible? do you know if that would get me into trouble?
thanks

Gustavo:
I have multiple accounts because I have one for personal use and one for business. They have different mailing addresses, email, etc. It is possible to have multiple accounts but there is nothing like ease of management with just one.

This makes sense. Too cheap to last for too long.
Thanks guys.

Re: $0.99 .com Domain at GoDaddy.com
Pretty sure it was a leaked code. Once godaddy realized that they shut it down. If you were able to capitalize on that code you could have gotten many domains for .99 cents each.

Re: $0.99 .com Domain at GoDaddy.com
Well I think that someone tried that and couldn't. If it was possible I am really sad I didn't get more. To be honest I didn't try as I thought it wouldn't be possible. But next time I assure that after what you say, I will make sure

Re: $0.99 .com Domain at GoDaddy.com
I think it was limited to 1 domain name per account. The only way you could do it is to try and quickly create new accounts and then get one domain name per account.

Exactly then push them to your main account. This would be totally legal as well because there was no disclaimer, which is the reason i think it was leaked. GoDaddy.com prolly lost quite a bit of money on this, at least a couple dollars per reg.

Well, they either lost money or they gained new customers or newly renewable registrations - depends on how you look at it .

Re: $0.99 .com Domain at GoDaddy.com
It's good marketing. I would think GoDaddy makes more of their profit from upselling their other services like hosting, etc. vs. just the domain registration fees even at the regular price. So they figure if they can covert a few of those .99 cent customers into paying for all the other stuff they sell it's worth taking a loss on the domain reg fee.
